Centralia, PA

Wow, it has been a while since my last post! I've been incredibly busy lately, so be on the look out for new work posted here!

I recently took a trip down to Centralia, PA, a town which once thrived through the coal industry. In 1962 workers were burning garbage at the town landfill, when the fire accidentally spread to the coal vein used for mining. The fire has been burning for 46 years and has enough fuel underground to burn for hundreds of years to come. The underground fire caused numerous sink holes, poor air quality and smoke that comes out of the ground in several locations, inspiring the film Silent Hill. This led to the downfall of the town and the relocation of its residents. The town is now nearly vacant aside from a handful of residents who remain.

Riley and I

I've taken a lot of photos in the past of friends' dogs and other pets and loved it. So when I recently adopted a dog of my own, one of the first things I did was take some good photos of him!

Here are two new photos. One of Riley, and one where I snuck into the picture as well.

This past weekend I went to shoot Amy and Kevin's wedding in New York. The weather was perfect, and the ceremony and reception turned out beautiful. Here are a few photos from the day:

Congratulations Amy and Kevin!
